My dreams, my day; lucidly told through the photographic eye and a Nikon D90
A day of photography through my Nikon lenses. Nikon asked for something creative and fresh - so I took some risks with a story, structure, and style. Hope it’s not too artsy for you!
I wanted to put a D90 and D80 to the test by shooting in a variety of environments with different photographic and film making techniques - low light, macro, time lapse, night shoots, day for night, rack focusing, shallow vs deep dof, and green screen. I filmed on a tripod, used a jib and crane, strapped the camera to my bike and to my body, and shot hand held.
The camera was light and easy to set up, it allowed me to shoot video very inconspicuously and rugged enough to do so in the unpredictable Texas weather. The sound in the video is recorded via the Nikon camera mic. All of the shots were either accomplished by me or with the help of a friend. The music is original and performed by Shawn Ellison.
I am a part-time waiter/bartender, sometime filmmaker, amateur photographer and Nikon enthusiast.
